The researchers emphasised that the way the wall was built left no doubt about the Roman origin of the find. In addition, its dimensions and the way the foundations were built are different from the techniques used in the Middle Ages. The wall itself dates back to the 3rd century A.D. The length of the discovered segment is about 7 metres and the width is 90 centimetres. The full length of the structure is unknown, but experts assume that it was built in the form of a ring to protect the city, and in addition, it has several gates.
